Lent Lunches
Once again we will be holding “Lent Lunches” with all profits going to TARIRO, Hope for Youth in Zimbabwe, a charity based in the UK (pictured).
The lunches will be held on five FRIDAYS starting on 15th March and ending on 12th April. They will be held in the Billie and Leslie Norman Room at 12.30pm.
The lunches will consist of a choice of 2 soups (second helpings allowed!), bread, fruit and tea or coffee. Suggested donation is £5 per head.
There will also be a weekly raffle for which prizes will be gratefully received.
We would love to see as many of you as possible at least some weeks. As well as raising funds for our overseas charity, the lunches offer a chance of fellowship.
There is no need to book – just turn up! Please pass the word on and encourage others to come. If you are unable to attend, perhaps you might be willing to give a donation towards the bread, fruit, milk etc.
As in previous years, we will be approaching some local caterers and hotels for donations of soup, but we will also be looking for offers of homemade soup from members of the congregation.
